이번에 유럽연합은 'Ghostwriter'의 공격이 러시아정부와 해커집단이 EU 회원국의 선거와 정치시스템에 대한 간섭이라며 공식적으로 비난하는 성명을 발표했습니다.
이 해커집단이 시도한 명백한 공격으로는 NATO 사무총장이 리투아니아의 국방부에 보낸 NATO군 철수발표라는 위장서한을 확산하려고 시도한 건과 폴란드의 정부관계자의 SNS 계정을 해킹해 사회활동가와 라이벌 정치인을 비방하고 공격한 건 등을 들 수 있습니다.
유럽연합은 러시아정부에게 '사이버공간에서 책임있는 국가로서의 행동규범을 준수할 것을 요청한다'고 요구했습니다.
